Family quotes

Having the right people in your corner is one of the greatest blessings you could ever have in life.  Those who make you laugh! Those who find the time to listen. Those who are always willing to give a helping hand. Those who have your best interest at heart, whether you're related or not. Sadly, there are many times when we neglect those who care about us most and we take their sacrifices for granted.

The only persons who would go to the end of the earth for us. The only faces we know when we are sick. The only persons who we can count on whenever we are in need. We take them for granted. It's such a shame that sometimes we don't even give them a moment of our time. It's such a shame that we sometimes forget that they are the nucleus of our support system. It's such a shame that sometimes we are the source of their greatest pain. It's such a shame that we only talk about how important they were to us when the cruel hands of death take them away.

If you have a mother who's always checking on you, appreciate her. Many don't have mothers! If you have a father who is standing firm by your side, appreciate him. The world is short of good fathers. If you have a loyal spouse who is supporting your vision and dreams, appreciate them. Many wish they could get the support that you have. If you have siblings that love and respect you, appreciate them. You may not always agree but you know they have your back. If you have friends that are genuine and honest, appreciate them. Faithful friends are few and many don't have real friends.

Whomever you have standing right by you, give God thanks for them. Even if it's one person.  Consider yourself blessed. If you have someone to correct you when you're wrong. If you have someone that you can trust with anything. If you have someone who supports you without a complaint.

If you have someone who's always checking in to ensure that you are okay. If you have someone who ensures that you have clean clothes to wear and good food to eat. Be ever grateful for the sacrifices that these people make for the sake of you.  Many can't find one person who truly cares about them.

It's time to stop making silly excuses. Oh, I'm too busy, not this time! I must do this and that. If you have loving people around, you are one of the fortunate few. Many of us don't get that wonderful opportunity to have caring persons around us. Cherish every moment that you can get with those who love you. They won't be with you forever, and the time that you choose not to spend with them is irreplaceable.

They don't need your tears after they are gone. They won't hear the good things that you have to say about them when they are dead. You have now to make it right. Spend quality time with your loved ones. Let them know how much you love and care about them. Let them know that you appreciate all that they are doing for you and how much they mean to you. At least if death should take them away they would have already known how much they mean to you.

Respect those who have given you their best. Their prayers, kind words of encouragement, sound advice, correction, clothes on your back, shoes on your feet, a good education, a loving home. Don't ever take these for granted. Many can only dream of having a happy home because the only life they know is that of pain and misery.
