Stories of love, pain, mindfulness and healing (Haiku Poems).

  What is Haiku?

If you are unfamiliar with Haiku style poetry, it is a Japanese poem of seventeen syllables, in three lines of five, seven, and five, traditionally evoking images of the natural world. What is a syllable? It is a unit of pronunciation having one vowel sound, with or without surrounding consonants, forming the whole or a part of a word; for example, there are two syllables in water (wa-ter) and three in inferno (in-fer-no). A Haiku poem has a total of seventeen syllables. Below I've captured five stories of love, pain, mindfulness, and healing using this amazing style of poetry.

1. God

God gave me His love,

I gave Him my whole heart back,

It belongs to Him!

2.  Depression

Underneath the smile,

There is a familiar face,

Crying out for help!

3. Us

I remember when,

Nothing could come between us,

We were happier!

4. Nature

Embracing nature,

Somewhere peaceful, time alone,

Sheer reminiscent.

5. Healing

Time brought me healing,

The heart that you broke is alive,

It resurrected!
